Windsor Cricket Club aim for first trophy of season - before a ball is bowled!

Windsor Cricket Club will be aiming for their first trophy of the season, before it has even begun! However, whilst their batsmen are still applying linseed oil to their bats and limbering up in pre season nets, the football arm of the club Windsor CC FC, are poised to challenge for a trophy after reaching the final of the Slough Town Junior Cup after brushing aside Holland Park reserves 5-1 (Darren Ward (2), Tom Bullock, Chris Kenny, Dan Fraser) in the semi final last week.

The club, which was formed in 1992 to keep the cricketers active in the close season, could potentially field a team consisting entirely of past and current players of Windsor Cricket Club including player manager Danny Brown, second eleven captain Chris Edge and his vice captain Rob Noble.

The final is played on Wednesday April 14th at Burnham FC (Kick off 7.30pm) against Slough Heating Reserves after their win against Taplow FC.
